Please join in this annual celebration of the impact of those working to build the confidence of those managing life threatening allergies that the community has their back. As usual, Brenda Tremblay of WXXI Classical will be our MC.
This year's honorees, like those in past celebrations continue to have make everyone in your community safer from life threatening allergies.\
John J. Condemi Honoree, Dr. Desiree` Branson, DNP, RN, FNP-C, EBP-C
Dr. Branson, a long time presenter of the Epi Near You New York training sessions and Board Member continues with an substantial career as a triple alumna of the University of Rochester School of Nursing. In addition to being in practice at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Dr. Branson is Assistant Professor at the St. John Fisher University's Wegmans School of Nursing.
As immediate past President of the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State, her leadership was invaluable in enhancing public health in all areas by expanding and promoting the leadership capabilities of nurse practioners across the state.
Ruth T. Cornell Honoree, Georgina Cornago Cipriano
As Founder of The Love for Giovanni Foundation, Ms. Cornago Cipriano has had incredible impact in ensuring all first responders across New York State are trained and equipped to administer epinephrine in an anaphylaxis emergency. After the loss of her son Giovanni anaphylaxis in 2013, Cornago Cipriano's work with the foundation has been instrumental in getting the legislation in place in New York State, enabling all first responders to save lives in an anaphylaxis emergency. As they are often on the scene before EMTs, it is vital they are trained and equipped.
In addition to honoring the great work of this year's honorees, this will be a great party! Dustin Dean, Mentalist and Magician will ensure a family fun evening. He has entertained audiences all over the country, has been featured on multiple national television shows including Penn and Teller: Fool Us, and has even predicted the Super Bowl down to the exact score on live television!
