tom actionawards2023The 2023 Ruth T. Cornell Award will be awarded to the Former New York State Assembly Member Tom Abinanti. During his time in Albany representing the 92nd Assembly District, he generously worked with the Allergy Advocacy Association to sponsor legislation to ensure the safety of New Yorkers managing life threatening allergies. As his strong advocacy for people with disabilities overlaps our mission, he was a great partner. With his help, several bills were signed into law, including the Emergency Allergy Treatment Act, the Nurse Authorized Stock Epinephrine Act and the Student Self Carry Act, among many others. We are grateful for his partnership.
